As most of you figured out by the change in the blog title we are expecting #3.
We found out on Sunday so I am really early. I know most do not announce until 12 weeks, but oh well!
I am due October 18th. While this was a surprise (a rather large one, I spent most of Sunday in a haze), we are excited.

Why two year olds should never be left alone
This morning I had a primary activity, one of the things I needed was dice for a game. I couldn't find single dice so I had to buy the game of Yahtzee. I had opened the package and left it out on the counter, where Preston found it. He was happily playing with the little nickle sized yellow chips in the box. I went downstairs to switch the laundry and when I came back up... they were GONE. There were 8 chips!
Here is the conversation that ensued:
Me: Preston where are those yellow chips
Preston: In my tummy
Me: YOU ATE THEM!
PRESTON: Yea, they are taking a nap in my tummy
Me: WHY!
Preston: I don't know
So after a call to the Pediatrician's office, we were told he would pass them on his own! Oh, what a lovely diaper that will be!
I guess I should not be surprised, this is the kid whose diaper I found a contact in! Apparently, he had dug out a dry contact from the trash, eaten it and there it was all nice and hydrated in his poop a few days later!
Also, as my mom just today apparently found out, I remember being a kid and cleaning my room, instead of putting coins in a jar where they go, I would swallow them!

New Things
This past week it snowed for two days, the morning of the second day the kids and I went out to play. Preston loves the snow, he would play in it until appendages fell of if I let him. Gracie was not such a fan. She stood by the front step the whole time until she climbed back up and started knocking on our front door to get back in!

He was not happy to go inside!
We also went to the park with the kids, Saturday it was in the high 60's so it was really nice out, this is the first time Gracie has gotten out of the stroller to play. She was so cautious, nothing like her brother was at that age!

In other news, my Sister in law has convineced me to join Weight Watchers! So far I am down 9.6 pounds! Here are Gracie and I in the dress and skirt Brianne made for us for Christmas

Why is it?
Several things have got me thinking lately, why is it things happen when they do.
Like:
Why is it
After I finally put Preston's sheets and comforter back on his bed after Puke fest 09' that the next morning he has a blow out in bed and I have to wash the same things all over again.
That after I mop my floors for the week, it snows the next day, getting my floors dirty again
That all things disgusting and fowl will happen when Alan is at work. Kids puking, Alan gone, plumbing backs up, Alan gone. Seriously, how does he get so lucky?
That there is never a shortage of laundry, I am thinking of making my family walk around naked so for just one day their will be nothing in the hampers!
That's all for now!

The Worst Week Ever!
Well not really but close.
So on Sunday morning around 2:30 am I woke up and my stomach hurt, not to bad I was able to fall back asleep, but I was then woken up at 3 am to Preston crying, as soon as I heard it I knew it was bad, I ran upstairs (my bedroom is in the basement his is on the first floor) get to his room and see him sitting up, rush him to the bathroom, he doesn't throw up, but by this time I am wide awake and my stomach really hurts. He asks to go back bed, so I went back downstairs to try and get some sleep. I don't! About an hour later I went upstairs to take something for my tummy and hear him crying again, rush to his room, he is throwing up in his bed, rush him to the bathroom where he finishes to throw up. Great! Mind you every time we have a kid throwing up I am by myself, Alan up to that point has never been home. Preston goes back to bed and shortly after I start throwing up, by now it is 5 am. I lay down to get some sleep only to be woken up by him again to throw up but as soon as he starts I need to throw up too. No fun switching between you throwing up and your toddler throwing up! Alan finally got home and Preston and I start to feel better.
On Monday we are supposed to go to Colorado to visit my grandparents (my sister is also flying in) We wake up Monday morning and everyone is fine(well except Alan, now he is sick) So we go and pick up our rental (having one car sucks!) and drive the 4 1/2 hors to CO. Springs.
Preston seemed to be doing fine, ate well and everything, well Monday night at like 11 he starts puking again. Up all night, Tuesday during the day fine, Tuesday night puking again, so we put him on a liquid only diet for 24 ours, FUN! So Wednesday he was good, no puking at all. Although, Kayden starts to puke! Thursday during the day he is playing with his cousin and he split his forehead on a table, man head wounds bled ALOT! And Ruth, my grandpa's wife gets sick. Then of course Thursday night puking again! So we went to the ER to see what was up,they just gave him medicine to help his nausea and that was it. Finally it was over, but we got everyone we came in contact with sick! Seriously, my grandparents will never invite us back!
Luckily, we spent some nice time with Alan's mom, Jim, her husband got baptized on Saturday so we were all there. It was really nice.
So that was the week from He**. I wish it on no one. Here are some pics, luckily no puking ones!

Gracie's Birthday
Well almost 2 weeks late, but am going to post about Gracie's birthday. I have not uploaded the video because Alan took like a 10 in video so I need to figure out how to edit it and then I will post.
We were really lucky to have my grandparents on my dad's side here for her birthday. they drove over from Colorado Springs.
We were really low key, had cake and presents and that was about it. She is enjoying all of her new toys and Preston enjoys tying to steal them.
This past year has gone by so fast. I can't believe my little girl is 1! She is getting better at walking each day. She can say a few words, moma, dada, hi and sometimes two babbles that sound like thank you after you give her something.
She loves to give kisses and if you get her started she will make the kissing sound over and over.
Here are some pics from the past year:

Christmas Part 2
We had a lot of fun while my parents were here. Even though most of us somehow got food poisoning!
Here are some more pics from Christmas

Christmas Part 1
Since Alan had to work on Christmas Day, the kids and I went to the fire station for lunch. It is always nice to spend time with his co-workers. That is the extent of what we did on Christmas though, since we were waiting for my parents to come to open gifts and things.
So on Friday, my parents got here and we did our traditional Christmas Eve things. We ate Vietnamese (the tradition is Chinese, but we really like a Vietnamese restaurant in town so we did that) Read the Christmas story and open pajamas. We put out cookies and milk also, when Preston woke up the first words out of his mouth was "Did Santa come and eat the cookies!"
I am such a big kid, I could barely sleep! I couldn't wait to see Preston and Gracie's reactions to things. Grace was pretty overwhelmed and Preston loved it, although toward the end he didn't want to open any more gifts.
My parents got me a video camera, so I am obligated to post tons of videos of the kids! We didn't really take many pics but here are some videos from yesterday. I will post the pics later.

Santa Baby
Preston has found a favorite Christmas song, Santa Baby. He loves it and even sings some of the words. I tried to get a video of it this morning but he got distracted.
Gracie is doing well, she says Hi and mama mostly, she does babble allot. She is doing really well with the walking, I think she enjoys the freedom and the ability to get away from her brother. Her hair is getting longer and I enjoy doing it in the morning, although Alan says she looks silly! When I take it out and even after washing it, it sometimes becomes a Mohawk.
We are getting excited for Christmas, we are actually waiting to celebrate until Saturday morning when my parents will be here. I think Preston will really get it this year. He and his sister have already gotten into some of the presents, the even fully unwrapped one the other day when my back was turned!
