On Sunday October 4th, I started feeling really uncomfortable. About 11:30 am I started to have some pretty bad back pain. The time able contractions started shortly after that. So after calling the hospital, I decided to go in to just get checked.
When they checked me, I hadn't made any change from the week before when I went in with contractions. The nurse said they would just monitor me and then decide what to do. She checked me again around 1 and I was the same. I thought for sure I was going home. She called the Dr and he said he would be in to check me shortly. Around 3:30 he came and checked me, he said I was a little more dilated but not much. I was still having consistent contractions so he went to call my Dr. and said he would make the call. I still thought I was going home. Then all of a sudden he comes in and says, your having the baby today! Since I had to have a repeat C-section they didn't want to send me home having contractions, and have me go into really active labour. So I had to call my mom, who ended up having 30 min to catch a flight, she ended up making it from Fl to here in just over 9 hours. I also had to get Alan there since I left him at home with the kids. It was CRAZY, I was shaking really bad because I was so nervous!
So Collin was born at 5:17 pm on October 4th. He weighed in at 7lbs 3 oz and was 20 1/2 inches. He is our smallest baby, ironically Grace was our biggest. The C-section went really well, It was odd walking into the delivery room on my own. The spinal was awesome, much better than a standard epidural. It was a much better experience than with Preston.
We are all doing well, the kids are adjusting well also. Here are some pictures from the past week.
So I have been pee'd on by my kids, and puked on, but up until now I have never been pooped on. It was so gross!

OHMYGOSH! That picture with the poop! That one is getting saved for his wedding day! Please tell me you were wiping away the tears from laughter and not actual crying.
I cant wait to meet him. He is so stinkin cute!
oh and Jen, you look awesome! I just had to throw that in!
Congratulations! He is so adorable and I LOVE all that hair! I'm sorry I was laughing out loud at the poop picture, only because that has happened to me with Sarah.
Oh my gosh Heather! He is too cute! I love all of that hair! I cannot believe he pooped on you! I am glad you have it documented!
Congrats, Heather. This is the first I'd heard he'd been born. Earlier this morning, I was thinking you'd be going in on Monday and that your mom had to travel in this yucky weather. I'm glad you're doing well.
