Only in Texas

We are back from Texas. We had a really good time. On Friday we had a real Texas day! We took Preston for a ride in the back of the riding lawnmower, went to eat some Randy Whites BBQ and then went to the gun range, where it was date night!

We also went to Ikea, which is always fun. On our way back, Tim (Alan's Dad) gave Gracie some Swedish Dark Chocolate. Preston kept telling us sissy was squishing her chocolate. This is what he meant

He apparently did not like the taste and spit it into her hand. She then squished it until it melted. On Saturday, Alan's Grandma and her husband came over as well as Suzan's daughter Angie and her two kids, Emmy and Andrew.

We had an egg hunt

Played some Corn Hole

The Kids went on another ride in the tractor to the park

Played some baseball

And ate some yummy food

Here are the kids on Sunday Morning

Hello from Texas

We are in Texas visiting Alan's dad and step-mom for Easter. We got here yesterday and will leave Monday morning.

Yesterday, we went on an Easter Egg hunt at their church. Preston got his face painted, they both enjoyed finding the eggs. We are going to do a second hunt here at the house on Saturday when Alan's Grandma and Ewald are here.

Today we went to a Rangers game, it was really nice out. Since it was a weekday game, there wasn't too many people there.

When we got home, there were donkeys and cows in the back yard.

Honesty is the best policy right?

I debated posting this but whatever. My blog isn't about having the perfect life, with perfect kids and especially not perfect parents!

Now time for my pity party! I have been feeling like such a crappy mom. I can not tell you the last time all the laundry was done, bathrooms clean, floor mopped and vacuumed and kitchen clean at the same time.

I used to be so proud of my clean house, I liked it when Alan came home and the beds were made, rooms were clean, kids were happy.

For the past 10 weeks it has been nothing like that, likely Alan will come home after a shift to dishes in the dishwater, kids who need diaper changes and breakfast and a very tired wife. I can not think of one day in the past 10 weeks were I felt like myself. I have made dinner maybe 20 times.

I feel like I am letting my family down, but literally can not come up with the energy to do everything if really much of anything. I am lucky my kids make it through the day fed and clean!

I know the first trimester is the worse, and I am almost through, but it just seems like I am treading water and getting no where fast.

Vent over. Sorry!
Not looking for anything just needed to get it out.
