Thanks Alan!

I have a great husband, he made me this frame for the letters I painted, and even abandoned his nap to hang it. He is the best!

We realized we have a very long last name!

He also helped in making these little gems!

But he doesn't always make the smartest decisions! This was this morning after I had asked him to change our light bulb, he thought he didn't need a ladder:

It didn't work and I still have a burnt out light bulb. Preston kept telling him to get down!

Weekend with Memaw

Last weekend the kids and I drove to Wichita to see my mom, who flew in for a short weekend visit. We went to a museum, the zoo and of course the mall! We had a blast.

She is showing us TOUCHDOWN

He liked it

See Me Maw, I told you I would wear the hat!

Houston, we have Poop!

Today is a big day in our house, Preston Pooped in the Potty! Yipee! I have been struggling with when I was going to PT Preston. Alan will be gone for a week fishing, so I thought I would start this next week. Preston has worn big boy underwear fro a few hours at a time with no accident, but up until today it was always at my prompting to sit on the potty.

Today we were eating lunch and I noticed he was doing his poop face! I asked him what he was doing and he told me he needed to sit on the potty. We ran to the bathroom, he had already pooped a little in his diaper, but he still wanted to sit on the big potty. So after a few minutes he got up to sit on the little potty, and I looked in the toilet and there was Poop! I praised him, we jumped around, he got hard candy. and then he flushed the poop and said goodbye!

I think this may be the jumping off point I need.

I will update the blog with some pics of the kids later, not pics of Preston's accomplishment! Love you all!

Kids say the Darndest Things!

Preston has been so funny lately, he will copy almost anything we say. For those of you grossest out by talk of poop, don't read the next part:

On our way home from Colorado yesterday, we stopped for a diaper change, I was changing Gracie and Alan was changing Preston, Alan I mentioned Grace had some poop and Alan said, Oh it looks like Diarrhea, not a minute later as Alan was finishing up Preston's diaper he yelled out "I have Diarrhea " and he proceeded to say that through out our trip!

I was watching Lucy (our niece) the other day while Jennifer was doing some visits for relief society, we were eating lunch and something happened and Preston looked like he was about to cry, I asked him what was wrong and he looked up at me and said, " I sad mommy" then he smiled and said "I happy"

Colorado Fun!

We made the trek to Colorado Springs this past weekend, Alan's mom bought us tickets to see the Denver Broncos play the San Diego Chargers. We went up on Friday and came home last night. We went to see my grandparents on Friday afternoon, the kids had fun spending time
with Papa and Ruth

We of course made a trip to the mall since there isn't one here:
The game was a blast! We had so much fun and there were some Charger fans sitting around us
that we heckeled

When we got home, Gracie was standing up on her own! She would use me to get up to standing up and then let go

On the way out of town, we stopped at the Firefighter memorial:

Crafty Fun

Alan is the best husband! He let me drive to Dodge City last week all by myself, no kids, to go to Hobby Lobby. I spent probably 3 hours just looking around! It was so fun, her are some of the projects I did:

I did the sign, not the pumpkins. To be honest, the Pumpkins were bought for my wonderful sister who is a tad obsessed with them, but Preston broke the third one of the set, so I am keeping them for myself, I will buy you some other cute pumpkin thing Brianne don't worry!

The intention is for Alan to build a shadow box to put theses in over our Marriage Certificate from the temple, Proclamation to the World and Living Christ that we have framed.

And now for the only reason my mom visits the blog, the grandbabies:
