Easter Eggs

Preston and I decorated Easter Eggs this afternoon. He really enjoyed it, I didn't think he would know what to do but he put all the stickers on himself. Unfortunately, I apparently did not boil the eggs long enough and we had to throw them away after Preston stuck his finger through one!

Preston has several phrase he likes to say. One of them is Help Me or I am Helping. He says it when he wants to help me clean or do other things. I have found that I am sweeping the floor 2-3 times a day so after dinner was cleaning up and Preston grabbed the swiffer and wanted to "Help Me" I thought it was cute:

I discovered the other day that if left alone Gracie can sit up for a few seconds on her own. Here she is, She is in the process of falling over, I didn't snap the picture fast enough but you get he idea.

We hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Easter!

New pictures

I have been trying to clean out the Kids rooms the past few days and finish unpacking all of the clothes and toys. I have realized my kids have so much stuff!!!

Alan and I have been busy during his days off. We have finally gotten tired of the bed that we bought when we were first married and upgraded to a foam king mattress. Alan decided he wanted to make the bed frame to put the bed on. So yesterday we spent the day sanding and staining the bed. It really has turned out nice so far. We will post pictures as soon as it is put together tomorrow. I also painted a dresser for Grace's room yesterday. It was such a nice day out that we had the kids out with us:

I found some cute outfits for Gracie when I was unpacking her things, her Aunt Brianne got her this one. Believe it or not it is a 0-3 months and even thought she is 11 weeks today it is HUGE on her!

Poor Preston still has a cold, although it is getting better, his nose is raw though
:( He was drinking out of a cup by himself and managed to soak his shirt!

Why God gave Parents a Sense of Humor!

Poor Preston has been sick since Monday with a cold. With the exception of a few trips to Home Depot to drive the little car carts with Alan, we have been pretty much confined to the house. No Play group or gym! So needless to say he has been in a pretty foul mood the last few days. And I am slightly embarrassed to say he has been driving me NUTS!!!!

Well I guess God thought I needed a laugh last night!

I was giving Preston a bath which is his favorite time of day! I walked out of the room (I know bad mommy) to grab his towel and PJ's when I came back in I looked at the Tub and there was POOP everywhere, not just one or two logs but a bath full of it! and to top it off it was Bright Green from a food coloring he ate in his pudding the night before. It was disgusting. So I get Preston out of the tub sit him on his potty and run out to the living room to call Alan who was in the garage. He runs in looks in the bath tub and starts to gag, so I ask him to take Preston to his room to get him ready for bed while I scoop out the floaters! I have a pretty strong stomach when it comes to those things but I seriously thought I was going to puke! So as I am doing this I hear Alan in the other room say NO, Preston. I ask him what happened and wouldn't you guess Preston had peed on the floor of his room! I am cracking up laughing as I am typing but really it wasn't funny last night!

In other news, Gracie is starting to laugh! It is so cute! I need to get some pics of the kids but I just unpacked the camera charger today so hopefully next post I will get them up.

I have to run Preston is waking up from his nap, Why is it those are the fastest two hours of my day!

Wow! We have been Busy

We are finally in Kansas and somewhat settled. Preston, Gracie, my mom and I arrived last Saturday. Luckaly Alan and his sister Jen had the house mostly unpacked so we were able to jump right into decorating. Alot of money and work latter it is mostly done.
We LOVE the house it is a 5 bedroom split level with a basement. I love having a basement, it gives us so much more room and storage, plus the play room is down there so it can stay a little messy with out emabrising us when people come over.

The kids are adjusting well, it was really hard to say goodbye to my mom yesterday, but we plan on seeing her often!

We made a trip to Colorado Springs to see Alan's mom, stepdad and my Grandparents and Aunt and Uncle. It is about a four hour drive from Garden City through thte middle of no where. Although as my mom found out, there are cops! We had a great time:

Preston and Gracie got to spend time with Papa and Ruth.

We went to the Garden of the Gods with Papa

and then went to see the Tarfly (a 1/10 replica of the B-17 Papa was shot down in before becoming a POW at Stalag 17. It took Papa 7 years to build it!)

We also wen to a cool resturant named Solos where we ate inside an airplane!

Uncle Bill and Aunt Alane came over for diner also.

We got to see Grandma Cleo, Grandpa Jim and Alan's best friend from highschol Tim and his wife and son Natalie and Zack. Preston and Zack are about 12 days apart so it was fun to see them play.

Grandma Cleo Bought Preston a Broncos Sweatshirt, won't DeDa (my dad and a HUGE Broncos fan) be proud!

Gracie has started to sit in her bumbo! She enjoys it

Oh yeah and it snowed yesterday

The day before it was in the 70's and then it snowed the next day! Welcome to Kansas!
