The Park

Alan and I took the kids to the park at the elementary school just down our street last night.

OK this obviously isn't at the park, but he does look cute!

UGG!

We are still here! I just took some pictures but now I can't find my card reader to upload them. I looked in all the usual places! I guess I will have to dig deeper later today.

We are all doing well, Alan's birthday was on Tuesday, we brought him BBQ to the station and hung out with him there. It is amazing how much Preston recognizes, he can tell me we are going to see the fire trucks when we turn on the street towards the station! He always asks where daddy is and when I tell him at work, this is how the conversation goes

Preston: Where's Daddy

Me: At work

Preston: On the Fire truck?

Me: Yes

Preston: With the lights

Me: Yes

Preston: Honk Honk

Me: Yep

Preston: Weo, Weo

Me: Yes

Preston: Jose (this is one of Alan's shift mates)

Me: Yep

It is the same thing several times a day

He is getting so much fun to play with, we can have conversations, although they don't always make sense.

Gracie is crawling and getting into everything. If it is on the floor she will put it in her mouth! She also got her first tooth this week.

Alan and I are doing well.

Thanks Babe

Today was my birthday, I got upset earlier this week because I though Alan hadn't planned anything special for me, I know pretty selfish.

However, Alan proved me wrong and by far made my day the most special day of the year.

He called me from the fire station to wish me a happy birthday this morning. Then came home with a card. He told me to be ready when he got home at 5. At about 4 there was a knock on the door, it was flowers and a balloon. Then when we left to go to one of our favorite restaurants, he wanted to stop by the station to get a paper, he said there was some special article in it. He showed it to me and even though it took me a while, I saw he had put a birthday announcement in there for me. While we were eating, he asked if I wanted dessert, I said not really and kept eating, he kept asking me when I would be finished, finally I finished and when I did, the waiter showed up with a birthday cake for me, Alan had dropped it off on his way home. We went bowling after that and then to end the night, he bought me a Wii!

Thank you Alan, you are the best husband I could have asked for!

Thanks Me-Ma

My mom got Preston a Thomas the Train tent for his birthday. I am not sure she realized how BIG the tent was,Preston however LOVES it, he keeps saying I like my tent, and popping out saying Ta-Da!

Birthday Fun

Preston got cupcakes for his birthday today. They were Diego themed with little Diego Heads on top.

Happy Birthday Preston!

Today is my little boys birthday. I can not believe how fast two years have gone, I can remember when he was born thinking oh he will be two on 08-08-08 and how far away that seemed!

I could not imagine my life without him, he makes my day and can bring a smile to my face without even trying. We are so lucky to have him in our life.

Busy Weekend

Alan's mom came into town to attend the baby shower Heidi and I gave for Jennifer. We spent most of our time over at Jens since she is such a good cook! We had yummy food all weekend. On Sunday we celebrated Preston's birthday (he turns 2 on Friday) Grandma Cleo got him a train set, and Jen got a basket ball hoop. Preston loves both gifts. It was fun to see him open them and then have Abe, Cy, Lucy and Preston play with them. We had to pull him away to blow out candles.

Gracie wanted in on the action also:

This morning, Gracie had her 6 month appointment ( I know I am a month late) So I was giving her a bath, Preston can't resist the bath so he got in also. He then proceeded to sit in her tub with her which he calls a boat. I think this is the most adorable picture.
